To BUILD a relationship with someone you don’t know and can’t see is almost like meeting someone on a dating site. You get a picture of the person, and by looking at them you either like them or you don’t. If you do like them, you decide to read their profile, and if you like what you see, you send them a private message.

This is how all new relationships will start. Someone shows an interest in your heart. They desire to see more of you, and they communicate this desire by letting you know. If you feel the same you let them in. Slowly over time you learn to trust, and then love begins to flourish as desire fades away.

Having a relationship with God is not much different. When we take one sincere step towards God, He takes 99 steps towards us.

He has a desire to be known by us, and He wants to show us how well He really knows us.

But still, having a relationship with God is much different than having a relationship with a flawed human. To know the Almighty and to be known by Him is a whole new ball game. It gives eternal value to the life we live.

Being intimate with God is like sitting outside on a beautiful summers day. You feel the sun kiss your skin as a cool breeze blows through your hair. You ask God to stop the wind and He does. Then you feel the heat without the cool breeze on your skin. God knows what’s best for you.

This is how it is to have a relationship with God the Father, He knows you so well, and loves you so much, that He gave you the free will to ask, seek, and find. He wants you to find more and more of Him as He reveals Himself to you every day in the smallest detail and answered prayer. There is always more we can learn from Him.

As it is written, “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” – John 16:24

He is not concerned with our level of comfort; His only concern is with our heart (character). In a world of consumers, He wants to turn us into givers; and in a world of complainers, He wants us to celebrate and dance with joy knowing He is the God who creates order in and through us.

The LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or height, for I have rejected him; the LORD does not see as man does. For man sees the outward appearance, but the LORD sees the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7

God will sometimes allow the sun to burn you so you can see your choices aren’t always the best choices, and this gives you a desire to seek His will for your life just as Jesus Christ did when He was in tears praying to God.

As it is written, “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” – Luke 22:42

In the Holy Bible God shows up as a protective Father, a loving Brother, and a wise nurturing Mother. He does this is to demonstrate His own character. He is Three-in-One, the 7-Fold Spirit, He is in all things, through all things, and all things hold together in Him. And we are here to share His love as family was designed to.

The unconditional agape love of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is what leads us to repentance. The goodness of God gives men and women who have fallen as a result of their own destructive ways the freedom to come to Jesus seeking forgiveness. God wants to change your character with His agape love. Which includes tough love.

As it is written, “Do not withhold discipline from a child; although you strike him with a rod, he will not die. Strike him with a rod, and you will deliver his soul from hellfire.” – Proverbs 23:14

As it is written, “My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD, and do not loathe His rebuke; for the LORD disciplines the one He loves, as does a father the son in whom he delights.” – Proverbs 3:11

All of us do what we do for family. Whether that is to make our parents proud or to be good parents ourselves, all of us want to be loved, and we want someone to love. We were made by the love of God to love and to be loved.

So, ask yourself, “Why do I do what I do? Why do I work? Why do I exist? Why am I reading this?”

You see, when you look at Jesus Christ and what He did, what He stood for, and the Words He left for us to meditate on and think about, you will see that Jesus laid down His life so that His legacy, God’s promised heritage, and the Name of Jesus Christ would be perpetuated eternally.

His message: Sacrifice for the ones you love.

Just think about it. Everyone knows who Jesus Christ is. The lamb of God who died for the sins of the world. No one should have to force Jesus on anyone by Bible bashing them about who God is. They know who God is.

As it is written, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.” – Romans 1:20

Jesus Christ laid down His life to open our eyes. He died so we could walk in the gift of authority to change things. He died so we can offer the same sacrificial love to each other, so we can truly worship God in truth and in Spirit, which to Him is a sweet-smelling aroma. This is why Jesus Christ kept repeating to His disciples, follow me.

Jesus said,See, no greater love has any man than to lay down his life for his own friends.”

We were never made by God to be alone. God was alone in darkness and He had the desire to be loved just like we do. We were made in the image and likeness of the Trinity; God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Son. That’s why He placed this desire within our hearts, a desire for the security and intimacy of a loving family. Some place we call home.

As it is written, “The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.’” – Genesis 2:18

We are all made to share the love of God with those who surround us every day to show them who Jesus Christ is in our actions, our thoughts, and how we sacrifice for the glory of God alone. Not for the likes, not for the attention, but for the Kingdom of God. Whether I live or whether I die, I live and die to God alone.

If we are to represent the love and unity of family, then we have a responsibility to do things God’s way. In the world as we know it today the family is often broken, with divorce rates as high as orders for wedding cakes. And the truth is, we have lost touch with God’s Spirit of love and order, and we have lost touch with our First love. The One who is closest to us.

Fathers are beating mothers, and mothers are rejecting daughters, and so the vicious cycle continues as homes are ripped apart by the domino effect of the economic world. We have hardened our hearts, and it’s time to turn our hearts back to the Word of God.

In the book of Malachi, the LORD warns us of the consequences of not being obedient to His Word when He says, “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him for all. I will send the prophet to you before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; else I will come and strike the land with a curse.” – Malachi 4:4

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32

I’ve learned that once you forgive EVERYONE who has ever hurt you, including yourself, and once you can rebuke every false accusation that has been set up against you, and once you can bless your enemies and not curse them, only then can you come face to face with God the Father. This is called sanctification, and it’s a process of refinement we all must go through before we can enter His throne room in prayer.

As it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

You need to know the world is a seductive place where families are getting torn apart by the enemy every single day. That’s why I designed this platform; to strengthen the body of Christ and lead wo/men to God so they can lead their families, their workplace, and their community back to the Shepherd.

As it is written, ‘I will tend My flock and make them lie down, declares the Lord GOD. I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bind up the broken, and strengthen the weak; but the sleek and strong I will destroy. I will shepherd them with justice.” – Ezekiel 34:15

The protection and love of a family is what we all need to prosper. Without a healthy strong family, we will feel like orphans in this distorted world just looking for a place to call home. The Word of God says we are like lost sheep without our Shepherd, and wolves will lead us astray.

As it is written, “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.” – John 10:27

You’ve given your heart to Jesus Christ in faith, and you’ve made the decision to turn back to God the Father. You need not worry about the rest of this unseen journey. He is leading you and if you desire to listen to His voice, He will lead you into the promised land. A land flowing with milk and honey. This is His promise to all.

As it is written, “I have promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt, into a land flowing with milk and honey.” – Exodus 3:17

What is the promised land? I don’t know what your “promised land” looks like, but He does. Once you are refined and defined by the Holy Spirit your desires will line up with the desires of God in a beautifully unique way. Remember, He knows you better than you know yourself, and He will use your gifts to glorify His Name.

As it is written, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4

As it is written, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” – Matthew 7:11

The “Promised Land” or “Blueprint of Happiness” is a temporary illusion of what we think will bring happiness and fulfillment. Most of us will have more or less the same ideas: Family, sex, money, traveling, farming, building an empire, whatever it might be, it’s not inherently a bad thing. Without ambition or desire, we would all look like crack addicts just seeking a quick fix.

The big question you need to ask yourself is:Has my ‘Blueprint of Happiness’ been shaped by the temporary things of this material world?

The Original Story of faith in the Bible is centered around Abraham, a friend of God. Abraham was known as the father of faith because he believed God and left his mother and father to follow God into the “Unknown” to a promised land flowing with milk and honey.

There is much more to this ancient story than what meets the eye as the Word of God is a parable, which means it makes use of stories to tell of spiritual realities that are revealed to us through God’s Spirit who opens our eyes.

The literal separation from his family or country was not what God had intended, but rather the spiritual inclination to Christ in obedience to finding a deeper relationship with the Force.

This meant a detachment from his worldly ways of thinking in the pursuit for more unity with the “Unknown God” who audibly spoke to him.

When Abraham was ninety-nine years old, the LORD God appeared to him and said, ‘I am God Almighty. Walk before Me and be blameless. I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.

Then Abram fell face-down, and God said to him, ‘As for Me, this is My covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; I will make nations of you, kings will come from you.

I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and your descendants after you, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. And I will give you the land where you are residing as an eternal possession; and I will be your God.‘” – God

You see, if you read the full story of Abraham you will understand why this promise of God was so significant. Abraham’s wife Sarah could not bear a child and their greatest desire was to have a family. Even at 99 years of age Abraham was not a father and Sarah laughed at the fact that God could make a crazy promise like this.

As it is written, “The LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Can I really bear a child when I am old?’ Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you and Sarah will have a son.” – Genesis 18:14

God knows what we need and desire in order to experience joy and fulfillment. However, the world is also trying to sell us a counterfeit of this “Blueprint of Happiness” that is based on lust for things that do not last. Vanities of vanities say the preacher. Once you are born again, born of water and the Holy Spirit, you will be taken into a process of sanctification by the Spirit of Christ.

As it is written, “Do not conform to the customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect.” – Romans

Once you are born again you will be taken into “the wilderness”, a place where nothing grows. This is the place where you will become refined as God’s Spirit teaches you what is important and where you are stuck. You will learn from Him and this will transform your inner being.

Moses was predestined to lead God’s people from “Captivity” towards a “Promised Land”. Close your eyes for one moment, imagine you are back in Egypt working as a slave.

You think you are happy, but deep down you know there is no peace. Then God sends a man called Moses to liberate you from this bondage. Moses leads God’s people through a wilderness for 40 years before they can enter the promised land. God leads them through a desert to show them who He is as their eternal Source of life.

I believe this walk from captivity to freedom is still taking place within the heart of every child of God. The journey from darkness to light is one of self-discovery and this ancient pathway, the journey of purification, is only obtainable through the Spirit of God, not the will of man.

As it is written, “Not by might, nor by power, but only by the Spirit of God will you succeed.” – Zachariah 4:6

Once you are baptized with the Holy Spirit through the Son of God, Jesus Christ, you will become a new creation. The Spirit of God will lead you into a season to face temptations to show you that your character has changed.

If you learn the lessons and you are obedient, you will start to grow and expand. God builds our trust as He refines our character with Fire. This is what I like to call the fat furnace of life.

This journey of refinement can be painful, but pray every day, repent of your old ways, and learn to obey the Shepherd’s wise voice, not the voice of fear, judgement, or shame.

There is much more to His ways than what meets the eye of our limited understanding and that is why I have stated in my previous post that no man or book can teach you who God is or who you are, for that you will need to seek Him, and everything else will be added.

As it is written, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13

Before you can enter into the promised land, God will refine you until you become like Him. He will use you to serve others, and open the gates of heaven for you right here on earth if you are willing to trust Him in obedience. The promised land is only as far away as you are from Him. Let Him draw you with His love.

God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have this confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God who he has not seen. This commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

All of us need to go through pain to become transformed from within. God has placed a spiritual Seed within each of us that will only germinate once it has gone through the Fire.

If we don’t know who we are as children of God, then we will try to find our identity in temporary things of the world, even in labels other people placed on us. It’s important to find out who you are if you are to experience this life as it was meant to be experienced in the presence of God’s life-giving Spirit.

If you know you are a child of God, and you sincerely offered your heart to God the Father in prayer, then you now have a new identity; you should no longer see yourself the way you used to, see yourself the way God sees you.

He sees you as He sees Jesus Christ, His Son. The blood of Christ now covers you for eternity. You don’t have to be anything or do anything, just be yourself, and know that you are good enough to die for. You are His Beloved Bride.

As it is written, “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

When Adam and Eve chose to eat of the fruit, they chose to go against God’s perfect will and spiritually died as they walked away from God, thinking they knew better than their Creator. By nature, we also want to have the power to stay in control and be right. It’s called pride.

All of us are driven by our emotions and manipulated by our feelings. That’s why we make mistakes, and that’s why we will keep making mistakes until we master ourselves through submission to His eternal grace.

After inviting the Holy Spirit into your heart, you will receive a hunger to know God, to know Jesus Christ, and the Word of God. You will also receive a new nature as a sacred child of God.

Things of this world will start to lose their flavor as you receive wisdom, knowledge, and insight. The Spirit of God will open your eyes and ears and empower you to go beyond your fears as you walk into the promised land with Him.

As it is written, “I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Ephesians 3:17

Once you become a new creation, once you understand the magnitude of what God has blessed you with through the blood of Jesus Christ, only then will you understand why Jesus Christ is such a big deal. He sacrifice His own life, and at the same time the life of His Son, so that all (You & I) might live through Him, and that all might come to know Him and be reconciled to Him in the Garden of Eden.

The beauty of denying your old nature to live with God’s nature, is that once you experience the goodness of God’s nature, you desire to have more of it. Once you become a mature child of God, you will see the multiplication of the seeds you plant with your words and deeds. Your life will start to flourish like a tree that is planted by a well of living water, and you will bear good fruit in every season, which is good and pleasing to God the Father.

Jesus said, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’ Now this is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.

The seeds along the path are those who hear, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. The seeds on rocky ground are those who hear the word and receive it with joy, but they have no root. They believe for a season, but in the time of testing, they fall.

The seeds that fell among the thorns are those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and their fruit does not mature.

But the seeds on good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word of God, cling to it, and by persevering produce an abundant crop – The Multiplication of God.” – Luke 8

If you are like the one who hears the word of God with a noble heart, then decide today to lay down your own life as a sacrifice for the ones you love and trust God. Let go of your ego, humble yourself in prayer, circumcise your heart by choice, and follow Christ in faith.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” – Matthew 16:24

You will never truly understand how much God loves you unless you become a parent yourself. It’s true, and it’s one of the primary reasons He designed family. The pure joy and inquisitive nature of a child-like Spirit can bring about a new sense of awe and wonder, adding vibrant shades of color to this black and white world.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 18:3

As a boy, I was absolutely fascinated by nature. My dream was to explore the Amazon Forest and discover new species. I had a collection of chameleons, non-poisonous snakes, and a baboon spider who lived inside a shoebox.

My mother, a Professor in human molecular genetics, encouraged me to live a wild life of discovery and wonder for God’s creation.

She would read from the Bible to me every day. I have vivid memories of the sheer joy stories of Adam and Noah brought to my childlike heart. It was all I wanted to hear when she opened the Word of God.

Adam was given the right to name each animal, and Noah was used to build an ark that would save the world. Being raised by a God-fearing, strong, humble mother, who told me stories about Jesus increased my faith in someone I could only see with my imagination. But these stories gave me enough faith to pray to God.

I believed in God the same way a child would believe in Saint Nick. That is, until one night when I heard God’s audible Voice speak to me. All He said was, “Let the butterfly go.” I ran to my mother to tell her what just happened. She came into my bedroom, then she turned to me and said, “I believe it was God who spoke to you.”

Today I understand the weight of those words. We are all potential butterflies. We come into this world as nothing but worms, and all we do is consume. Our selfish nature leads us into making poor decisions. But it’s only by going through these growth pains that we can learn, mature, and change our ways as we transform into beautiful souls who are united with God.

God knows you because He purposefully made you the way you are. He is the one who decided to give you the talents and abilities you have so He could be glorified through them. He is the one who finds joy watching His children grow up, multiply, and fill the earth with His glory. He is the one who will use every detail of our lives like a masterpiece to glorify His Holy Name.

As it is written, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart…” – Jeremiah 1:5

It’s time to go on your knees and pour out your heart and soul before His Holy Throne. Turn your heart to God like a child would.

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” – Isaiah 6:3

In nature, when worms reach a certain genetic set point, they create a cocoon or chrysalis. Inside this protective chasm, they start an amazing process called metamorphosis.

Like worms, we are raised to consume. But at a certain stage of our lives, we’ll experience pain, self-inflicted or not. Then we harden our hearts, to hide our hurt from others because we feel ashamed, we feel weak, and we’re afraid of rejection, and so we stop living in love.

We continue to exist with “our pain”, hardened by the world, unable to truly accept forgiveness. But if we make it through this, and we break free from the old identity, then we can spread our wings and fly. This heart transformation is known as the metamorphosis of your soul.

If we come back to reality for a moment, we see that in this world a healthy family is something that’s rare to find. Things might look good from the outside, but many of us walk around with unforgiveness towards the ones closest to us.

Some of us are so pre-occupied with the things of the world that we no longer cherish the ones we think we love. Mammon has enslaved them, just like the golden calf. Just forgive everyone.

To whom does your soul belong?

As it is written, “No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” – Matthew 6:24

In the wilderness the Israelites kept turning back to their old ways, and they cursed Moses for leading them into a desert. And the moment they had the opportunity, they forgot everything Moses shared with them and lost themselves to the lustful desires of their flesh. This angered Moses so much that He smashed the stone tablets written by God.

Don’t be like the Israelites who heard the Word, but the deceitfulness of the world choked those seeds until they became unfruitful. Choose to run up the mountain after God as you seek Him with all of your heart. He wants to be found, and He wants to reveal Himself to you, but a relationship goes both ways.

As it is written, “Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33

But as the cliché goes, “You can only take a horse to the water, you cannot make him drink”. Therefore you will need to pray, you will need to do things His way. I’ve dedicated 4 years of my life to write this message to the Body of Christ as a means to strengthen every believer.

God said, “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you without money, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost! Why spend money on that which is not bread, and your labor on that which does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of foods. Incline your ear and come to Me; listen, so that your soul may live.” – Isaiah 55:2

Feelings of unforgiveness, the lies people have spoken into our lives, and the rejection we faced from the ones closest to us, all of these attacks were made to blur our vision of who God is.

The world is designed to blind you from the truth by stealing, killing, and destroying what God made for us to enjoy in a place called Eden.

Like Adam and Eve, we think we know what’s best for our lives and the lives of our children. But that’s like eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is to doubt the Word of God as the foundation of truth we live by in Christ.

Jesus Christ became the foundation for all of us who believe and if we don’t know how to apply his teaching to our lives, we will experience pain and suffering through our own foolish choices.

People who experience abuse and neglect as children grow up in pain and this hardens them. They don’t experience life in a positive way, and these experiences shape their perception of life. Many of these abused children commit suicide as adults and it’s alarming to see the impact mental health disorders like depression can have on our families, and the world around us.

My conclusion to this Spirit Walk is that He will do the work we are unable to if we trust Him. Walking with God is a patient step-by-step process. You won’t have the answers for tomorrow if you don’t focus today.

I am not my own Maker, and I am not your Maker. I am just Jan. I am your brother and through my personal experiences I’ve come to learn that it is not by might, nor by power, but only by the Spirit of God that we can be victorious in this life. He is the Teacher.

As it is written, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”

Think about the words you have just read, and then read them again, but this time meditate on each statement and know God’s heart for you. Jesus became part of creation to experienced our suffering so He could show us that He understands our pain, and He forgives us.

As it is written, “When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” – Matthew 9:36

Then He took our brokenness upon Himself and gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit, to comfort us and guide us through this wilderness as He did in the days where Moses led God’s people out of captivity into the promised land. He wants to set us free from the bondage of eternal slavery.

This journey of self-discovery and growth is known as the Ancient Pathway, and this blog can be used to remind yourself of who you are and who He made you to be; to help you set your mind on the things above. But this can’t replace the free gift of God. He gave you His heart, His own flesh and blood. Jesus Christ.

But in order to walk into the promised land you will need to do things His way and in order to do that you will need to seek Him, and know Him. It’s about obedience in the present moment.

“If you obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.

All these blessings will come on you and follow you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

The fruit of your womb will be called blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and when you go.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land; the land he swore your ancestors to give you.

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, your livestock, and all your crops.

The Lord will open the heavens, to send rain on your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. Pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God and carefully follow them. Do not turn aside from any of His commands, to the right or to the left, to follow other gods and serve them.” – Deuteronomy

Husbands: See your wife the way God, the One who made her, sees her. He is her Father and He deeply loves her, and if you choose to love her, you choose to represent God’s love to her.

You need to know her and know what she needs before she even asks. Love her this way, and she will be your crown and staff. You will be her King and she will be your Queen. Make love to her the way she wants you to. Communicate and ask her what she wants, likes, and dislikes.

Wives: Love your husband the way God loves him, help him grow and support him, take care of him and encourage him, be there for him and motivate him. Ask God to show you how to love him, and then love him the way he needs to be loved. Men are easy, they want to cuddle and then make love. Men want to build things, they want to catch things, and they want to win. Men are simple. They are primal. Give them room to be men. Don’t put a leash around them.

Children: Children, honor your parents, listen to them, and respect them. See them the way God sees them. Allow them to teach you, but never allow them to beat you. Love them and be quick to forgive them. They are also affected by challenges every day in the process of sanctification and the metamorphosis of their soul. Be kids for as long as you can and learn as much as you can. Don’t be lazy or eat too many sweets. Become Bodybuilders for Christ instead.

This is what the Word of God says about love: “Love endures suffering with patience, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. Love is not rude; it is not self-seeking; it is not overly sensitive or easily angered; love thinks no evil. It does not rejoice at injustice but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things. Love never fails.” – 1 Corinthians 13

If you want to be intimate with God, start off by following His Son, and then lay down your life for the ones you love. Living in love is to sacrifice yourself, the old needy identity, to demonstrate God’s love as you are transformed by His Spirit to bear fruits other can eat of, just like a tree of life.

As it is written, “And the two shall become one flesh’: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.~ Mark 10:6-8

God loved us while we were still in darkness, blinded to the truth. Jesus died for us to remind us of who we are and to wash our guilt and shame away. God chose not to look at our weaknesses, so we might learn to do the same for others.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” – Luke 23:34

Find Mental Clarity

One of the most important things we can get in life is clarity about the path we have chosen to walk on. Many people just wander through life without a mandate; no vision, and no purpose.

As a result of this, they accept the ‘blueprint of happiness’ that has freely been given to us by this world. The one that enslaves you to your need for more. Greed, lust, gluttony, pride.

As it is written, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” from the book of Proverbs 29

Do you see what the above scripture says? “He that keepeth the law, happy is he.” The word law refers to the boundaries and regulations set in order by God to create harmony and unity in the world through the law of equality and love.

Having a vision for the future creates hope. Think about the people who are living in a state of despair, those living with mental disorders like clinical depression. They have lost hope and therefore they struggle to stand back up.

Jesus looked at the man and asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Jesus called the lame man to get up and walk, and Jesus opened the eyes of the blind man. God knows what we need and what we want, but He wants us to know what we want.

God wants us to have a desire. Desire gives us the needed strength to get up and walk. Desire gives birth to actions that shape us.

Think about what you want from life, then write it down. Research suggests we are more likely to succeed at our goals if we write them down and revisit them as often as needed.

As it is written, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run with it. For the vision is for an appointed time.” – Habakkuk 2:2

We need to keep ourselves accountable for the promises we make when we choose to run after this ‘blueprint of happiness’ that is in our hearts. Whether that vision is from the world or God.

We all know what we like and what we dislike, and our ‘blueprint of happiness’ is something that will change as we journey through life.

All of us do what we do for different reasons, like family, or power, or pleasure. And it doesn’t matter what your goals are if you have clarity about what you want, where you want to be, and who you need to become to get there.

The only thing that matters is that you know yourself, and once you do, go all in and learn to patiently focus every step of the way and trust that you are made for this thing burning in you.

The ‘blueprint of happiness’ given to us by the world can cloud our judgment and turn us into greedy lovers, causing destruction in our lives. This why the Scripture reads, “but he who keeps the law, happy is he.” This Scripture refers to the law of sacrificial love demonstrated by Christ.

As it is written, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

When you reach step 3 you will have a deeper understanding of this. But for now, I would like it if you set some time aside to find solitude.

You can go camping if you like. Ask for a time-out. Just escape from the world for a little while, and get back to your roots. Nature is the best place to find clarity and healing for your soul.

Walking into a new chapter will be challenging. The Unknown can be daunting, but there are thousands of people throughout history who took this leap of faith. There are thousands of stories of people who believed in the Unseen and made it seen by not giving up on a dream.

When we are placed under enough pressure, we are forced to #think and find #solutions.

If we are never pushed, never forced to go outside the comfort zone, then we will never discover ourselves. Resistance is the stimulus we need to become stronger and we can only know how strong we are when strong is the only option we have left. We need resistance to grow, transform, and conquer this world.

This means we need stress to grow stronger, but if stress turns into anxiety, then we have a problem. Anxiety is like overtraining, it breaks the entire system down and then weakens you.

Anxiety is to lose control of your mind as fear takes control of you. This is the leading cause of comfort eating, drug abuse, and other escape mechanisms that can cause destruction in the lives of those we are supposed to love.

Being mindful of God will greatly reduce anxiety and these 3 steps will give you the tools to not only manage stress, but also improve your own mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. It’s critical to discipline your mind and do what you know you need to, to go where you need to.

***Make time to silence your mind and think about what the Holy Spirit would say to you.

Don’t doubt what comes. Just listen with an open heart and then meditate on the words of wisdom and the unconditional love of God.

Once you find that place of harmony (peace), just ask yourself, “Why do I do what I do?”

You need to have a really good reason to do everything you have decided in your heart you were going to do. Taking a leap of faith to transform your life will be challenging.

You must be prepared for a turbulent take off. You are going to be changing a few old habits slowly over time and it all starts with a decision.

“Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

– John 13:17

Once you are crystal clear on the path ahead, don’t look back and allow doubt/fear to paralyze you from moving forward each day. Walking away from your old life will not be comfortable, but it will bless you if you just persevere.

Start by creating a solid plan of action, one that allows for mistakes, that is the only way we can learn and mature. Once you have a plan and you are certain it will work, pray to God.

Ask God the Father to bless your journey ahead and guide your steps every day until you reach your destination to glorify Him.

Heartfelt prayer creates faith in the Unseen, and spending time with God creates faith in the things only you see. The things you see in faith becomes real to you as you spend time to build and create that which was once Unseen.

This might not sound all that biblical, but it absolutely is. Faith is an action word and not some make-believe fairy tale story. Having faith in someone is to trust them, follow them, and love them, and so too you need to have faith in something, whether it is God or your job.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

Noah was chosen by God to build an Ark. People laughed at Noah, they mocked Noah, and called him a drunk. Yet, Noah believed God, and Noah kept building the Ark with the hate. Finishing the Ark took many years, but once it was done, the doors were shut and the flood rains came. Noah was right all along. God is.

Living in faith is to become like a child again, a child who dreams big. Many of us have lost faith in ourselves and in the Unseen possibility that is found in God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ – Unconditional Loves Sacrifice.

As It is written, “if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20

We have lost faith because we have forgotten who we are and who God is. It is the revelation of the knowledge of God that transforms the heart and mind and therefore “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” – Romans 10:17

It’s time for a new chapter. It’s time for a new challenge. It’s time for new seeds to be planted, that, with enough care, will sprout and bloom, giving you a beautiful harvest for your efforts.

Remember the Word, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, whatever a man sows he shall also reap.” – Galatians 6:7

The next chapter will be full of new challenges, subtle distractions, and tempting temptations. Going upstream will never feel comfortable, but that is exactly what you are supposed to feel. You are going to break free from old habits and ways of thinking and change your life forever.

“Be transformed by renewing your mind.”

I would like to leave you with some advice: Be an Alpha. Do whatever you need to do to bring your ‘A-Game’ every single day. Get so focused on what you are doing that there will be no room to look back, no room to compare yourself, no room for doubt, and no room for fear to keep you from taking the next step to your vision. Whether you are stepping into the gym, a boardroom, or a marriage, take that step with confidence and accept the outcome of your decisions (actions/choices/mistakes/victories).

Walking in the Spirit

The ancient pilgrimage from darkness to light is a misunderstood topic and I hope that through Bodybuilding for Christ you can be enlightened about the truth of the Gospel and the message of strength we aim to teach the world through our loving sacrifice in service of God’s people.

If you feel lost, that’s okay, we all do at times. Taking a leap of faith by trusting God to lead you as you walk with the Spirit will transform you to be One Spirit with God as Jesus Christ.

However, without the right information, Christianity can/will turn us into religious performers, accepted in a world of illusion.

The Bible implores us to put away evil things; lustful desires like gluttony, greed, and envy. We are called not to conform to the ways of the world, but to be mentally transformed.

As it is written, “You have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.” – Col. 3:9

Can you see what the scripture says? We have to be “renewed in knowledge” to give us revelation of who God is; and who we are.

Throughout this platform I’ve been sharing what I know about the Mind, Body, and Spirit to guide you like a Jedi knight who seeks to be One with the Force. If you have taken the information to heart, you will see, hear, and know God.

Walking in the Spirit is like walking in the Light. You can see where you are going, and every step is secure in faith. If you don’t walk in the Spirit, you walk in darkness; fearful, defensive, and uncertain of where you are going in life. This can lead to anxious choices that don’t line up with God’s will for you. Choices that bring destruction, and not life. Choose life.

If you’ve been ‘conformed to the norm’ of this God-forsaken world, then you will have experienced these emotional disturbances resonating from within your heart and soul.

***God is calling you to turn away, repent, call Him your Shepherd, not mortal men.

As it is written, “Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” – Matt. 15:14

Submitting to the Spirit of Christ is the most liberating step you can take on your journey towards a brighter future. Nothing you do in your own capacity will ever be as satisfying as seeing the hand of God work in your life to bring joy, peace, and love to your family.

Humans can achieve amazing things with their life’s work if they know where they want to be, and what they want to become. But what takes the average person 40 years to achieve through their own efforts will only take 4 years with His Spirit leading the way. Jesus did it in 40 days.

What am I talking about? I’m talking about the process of growth and refinement we all must undergo to become the best version of ourself; the version that is not driven by lust, greed, envy, gluttony, and an evil desire for more.

Transformed through the knowledge of God (including His ways) to be set free from slavery and the lack mentality. No more reaching, no more fear, no more poverty, 100% secure.

The Scripture,”I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.” is often misunderstood as a result of ignorance. When God calls you to do something for good, He also calls you to lay down your life. And this is never an easy task for anyone, not even Jesus.

“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Your will be done.” Luke 22:42

Jesus asked, “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” they answered. “You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied.

Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.” – Matthew 26:27

This is the primary reason so many Christians stay in the comfort zone. They all live inside this Babylonian world and they will never be set free from slavery unless they become One with God, but for that to happen they need to hear this message from His mouth. (Read Isaiah 6:9)

He wants to be the Shepherd, the One to lead us through the “wilderness” back to Him (Eden). And this journey will be impossible without the Spirit of Christ teaching us; transforming us.

As it is written, “Not by might, nor by power, but only by the Spirit will you succeed.” – Zachariah 4:6

In this final step (3) of the MBS-Strategy you will learn what it means to “go through the red sea” and “be tested in the desert”. You will see how the Holy Spirit will act as a refiners fire to burn away all the impurities before He sets you free.

But before we can get into the finer details of the ancient pathway, you will need to have a basic understanding of who God is, what He came to do for us on earth, and what He has blessed us with. Then you can drink the cup.

Jesus said, “This is My commandment to you, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain— so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. This is My command to you: Love one another.”

The “Force” aka “God” aka “Jesus Christ” aka “The Holy Spirit” will prompt you to do things that are uncomfortable, but if you are willing to trust Him in the painful times, and you sacrifice and lay down your life for others, He promises to heal you by opening your eyes and ears to the truth of who He is and what He stands for.

As it is written,“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My ways, and you will be careful to observe My laws. You will live in the land that I gave to you as a heritage; you will be My people, and I will be your God.” – Ezekiel 36

That is one amazing promise from the Father. The only thing we need to do is to know God, and understand His message; thereby giving us faith in Him. He has done all the work because He wants an intimate relationship with each of us like it was in Eden where we were held up by His grace, unaware of our vulnerability; set free.

Walking in the Spirit can only be experienced when your eyes and ears have been opened through the power of the Holy Spirit. In this step you will be introduced to the Spirit of Truth, and He will reveal everything you need to know.

As it is written, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32

But before we jump into God’s Word (Logos), it will be good to first lay down a foundation of understanding. It’s important to know who you are and why you have been shaped the way you have been. There are millions of people living today who hate themselves, and that’s no good.

In this final step you will conquer the past and silence it. Then when you are ready to trust again, you can embrace Jesus Christ without any feelings of doubt or rejection.

Jesus said,“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” – John 6:44

If you don’t know who you are, how do you expect anyone else to? Before you come to Christ you must believe that He has already ordained you as His Spirit child and He is not concerned with changing your personality.

>>> He is concerned with your character.

“If those who lead you say to you, ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the air will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty, and you are that poverty.” – Jesus Christ

The words spoken by Jesus Christ were deep and meaningful. No one spoke the way in which He did, and it was for this reason that He was crucified, taking the curse upon Himself.

The Bible reads, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.'” – Galatians 3:13

Our words are powerful, they have the power to give or take life. The words Jesus Christ spoke gave life to those who were listening to Him.

As it is written, “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” – John 6:63

Jesus Christ knew that ‘to know’ yourself goes beyond knowing the type of person you are or will become one day. Knowing yourself meant knowing your identity and the place you came from. Knowing yourself meant you knew the authority you have freely been given as a child of God. The Bible says that we are the children of God, heirs to His Kingdom. We are seated with Jesus Christ in heavenly places, made to trample on snakes and scorpions (Conquer).

Knowing yourself means you know your strengths (gifts) and also your weaknesses. Understanding the situations (triggers) that would tempt you into making poor decisions is the key to fighting the battle raging within.

I believe it is only by knowing your darkness that you can come to know your Light, and by knowing the enemy within, you will be aware of his tactics and be equipped to win this war.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

If you want to know who you are and what you are here for, then you need to ask the One who made you. You need to go back to the Original Design, before the corruption.

As it is written, “God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis

Through my personal journey of self-discovery, I’ve had to learn that to be humble is to accept the fact that I do not know everything, just like John Snow, who apparently knows nothing; but he still stood for something good and true.

No book or person can tell you who or what you are except the One who has shaped you. Discovery of self is in your own hands and all I can offer with my words is the power to make you think, ask, and seek the meaning of it all.

As it is written, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” – Luke 11:9

When you build a personal relationship with your Creator, you will be liberated from your fears and come to understand why God says,

“Do not fear, I am with you; do not be afraid, I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

To explain “God” to you in my own capacity is pure foolishness. God is the most complex and mysterious idea the world has ever come to even think about. To explain “God” to you in a way that would make sense I’m going to paint a picture for you. Stories have been used to spark our imaginations in a way that would create faith in the Unseen. The Bible is a storybook.

Through my personal journey back to the Light I’ve come to understand that “God” is more than humans can ever begin to think of or imagine.

God is in all things, above all things, through all things, and all things hold together through the One who made everything seen and Unseen with the power of His Word (Logos/Sophia).

Humans have been searching for meaning in life through religion, science, nature, astrology, and philosophy for thousands of years. And we are living in a time where the Church, the New Age movement, and Buddhists preach “love thy neighbor as thy self”. Karma, Peace, Blessed.

However, it is only a few who know how to love and worship God the way He desires to be loved and worshiped. God is not concerned with your culture, your style, or even your bank account.

As it is written, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:24

I have come to understand that I have placed limits on God due to the limitations of my own human ways of thinking. I’ve tried to put God in a box, label Him, and even sell Him to the world.

He helped me see the error in my ways, and He kept doors closed that would not open unless I learned the lessons He was trying to teach me.

Through painful circumstances, I had to learn how to change by changing my ways, and the truth is, He cannot be bought or manipulated, God does as He pleases, and all He expects of us is that we are obedient to His Words.

There is a spiritual war taking place between darkness and light, and the good news is that as the world gets darker, more of God’s essence, the oil of the Spirit is released upon the earth as Ambassadors for Christ demonstrate love by laying down their lives to glorify Jesus Christ.

The Bible reads, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.” – John 3:14

The human mind cannot comprehend the things of God. But all of us intuitively know there is a war raging for our health, and we are here as Bodybuilders for Christ to shine a light through God’s sacrificial love, the same love demonstrated by the cross of Jesus Christ.

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” – Matt. 9:37

If this message resonates within your Spirit, and you are ready to take the next step in faith, then I’d like to welcome you to God’s Kingdom. This space will teach you to be strong and find peace in the midst of chaos as we create order.

As it is written, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. I am going to my Father.” – John 14:27

God placed within you a spiritual Seed that’s ready to germinate. The ancient pathway is a journey whereby you will experience the death, germination, provision, protection, nurturing, and pruning of this Spiritual Seed; and this process will turn you into a tree of life.

As it is written, “these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit within them?

In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. However, what we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit of God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. The blood of Jesus Christ.

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Holy Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Holy Spirit. “1 Corinthians 2:10

God is unknown to those who simply don’t believe in Him. The key to knowing God is to believe in Him. When we decide to believe in God, we live and speak as though He is real, and then He shows us how real He truly is.

As it is written, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” and “without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews

Quantum theory in science is based on the concept that whatever you believe and act on is going to become a reality for you. Why? Because of something called the butterfly effect, or the act of setting things in motion as your faith is driven by action. Faith is a verb. This basically means, if you believe something, it will become real for you.

Jesus agreed with this when He stated that we will do greater things than He, and we will “move mountains” if we have faith and we are willing to speak to “our mountains.”

Do you have faith? Do you believe?

When you observe nature under a microscope you will see the complexity of this ecosystem, something I like to call ‘Organized Chaos’. The Universe, Space and Matter, Mother Nature or “Gaia” is a physical representation of the divine nature of God the Father – The Spirit of Order.

Without God’s Spirit hovering over the deepest ends of the earth we would not exist. He is the life-giving breath of life as demonstrated in the Bible. He is the power that animates all of creation, the Force of life we desire.

As it is written, “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” – Galatians 4:6

We are the offspring of the union between God the Father (The Holy Spirit) and Gaia, The Beautiful Woman of Revelations 12.

As it is written, “Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the earth and blew the breath of life into his nostrils. The man became a living being.” – Genesis

It’s important to know Gaia, or Nature, is not God, God is Spirit and we are Spirit. A Physical foundation alone will not provide us with the spiritual nourishment we need to mature and grow. Jesus called Himself living water and the Tree of Life. He said that if we eat and drink of Him, we would never thirst and never die.

It is written, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” – Romans 1:20

Look at what God said after mankind fell from His grace. Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reaches out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever…” – Genesis 3:22

The only way you can point to God is through the Son, Jesus Christ, who is born of the virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit. He came to show us the way, “for He is the way, the truth, and the life”. He is the lamb of God, fully man and fully God, the One who willingly sacrificed Himself for the ones He loved. The archetype of the Holy One. He is God. By knowing Him you will come to know the true meaning of love.

To really know the heart of Jesus Christ, we need to look at the life He lived. We need to listen to His spoken word. The things He said gave life to those who were listening. To really know Jesus, we need to understand the way He thought about things. If we want to know God intimately, we need to have a desire for Him.

Jesus Christ, the Son, the living Word of God, walked among His own people and experienced their suffering, then He healed them by hanging on a cross through the single greatest act of love ever demonstrated. Eternally exalted.

As it is written, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so those who believe in Him might not perish, but that they might live forever.” – John 3:16

Jesus Christ did this in order that He might reveal to us who the Father is by His own Spirit who would come to us as the free gift of God, the Helper and Comforter. The Holy Ghost.

Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself to demonstrate God’s heart for us. The same heart of a loving father who would sacrifice himself for his own flesh and blood. This is the Agape love of God.

Jesus said, “You believe in God, believe also in Me” – John 14:1

John the Baptist was the messenger sent from God to prepare the way for the coming Messiah, the lamb of God, the One who would take away the sins of His people. John was a very unique character, and this is what he had to say about the son of God, Jesus Christ:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” – John 1

In Genesis 3 God speaks to the serpent, the old dragon, saying, “Her Seed will crush your head.” Think of Jesus Christ as the first Holy Seed that was planted in the earth. The Seed died to self, was baptized by the Holy Spirit, germinated in the water, and was pruned in the wilderness to bear fruit and be a Master Builder for the body of Christ. An Ambassador for God’s Kingdom.

As it is written, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You much be born again.’” – John, the Baptist

Jesus was baptized by John and as He emerged from the water the Spirit of God descended on Him from heaven like a dove. The Holy Spirit led Him through a season of refinement where He was tempted by every temptation known to man to prepare His character for God’s glory.

He persevered through this testing as the Spirit of God gave Him strength. Jesus Christ then started a 3-year ministry that ended with Him being resurrected from the dead as a sign of the new life and power from the Holy Spirit. This is the purification message of Jesus Christ.

As it is written, “In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the evidence of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” – 1 Peter 1:6

If you have been leading your own life, driven by a lack mentality and the lust of your flesh, and if your choices have left you broken, hungry, and depressed, then it’s time to repent and turn back to God with all of your heart and soul.

All of us have to go through this darkness to experience the goodness of His Light, and the further you have been pulled into the deception of the world, the further God will draw you into His loving arms. “I was blind, but now I see.”

The law of opposites (Newton’s 3rd law) states that those who are blind will have their eyes of understanding opened by the Holy Spirit as they are called to serve God and not man. “Those who are forgiven for much, will love much.”

If you come into agreement that you are a child of God, then please pray this Prayer in a secret place where you can become still and intimate with Him. Open your heart to the One who called you by your name and simply pray:

“Lord Father, I come to You in the name and of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for who You are. Thank You for what You have done. Giving Your only Son. I realize I have lived my life separated from You, and in doing so I have sinned against You. Hurting myself/others.

Thank You, Jesus, thank you for washing me clean by the power of your blood. Please give me a new start and put Your Holy Spirit within my heart. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for making a way where there seems to be none.

LORD, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Please lead me and open my ears to hear Your voice and trust You with every step that I take. Holy Spirit, PLEASE have your way with me.

I pray and declare this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. I am a chosen child of God.

If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart, then I would like to welcome you to the family. The salvation prayer is about the expression of your repentant heart towards God. Pray this in faith and know He is the God who forgives you.

When we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and we ask forgiveness for our ignorance (sin), He baptizes us with the gift of the Holy Spirit, and He answers our prayer and steps through the door to help us when we acknowledge Him.

As it is written, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” – Revelations 3:20

If you have been hurt by the world or flawed people, please consider the enemies’ battle tactics and understand a spirit of division was created at the start when we were separated from God through our sinful animal natures.

Once you are baptized, the Spirit of Christ will burn away all the impurities and He will cleanse you in the wilderness to teach you who He is and where (why) you are stuck. Don’t reject Him, just embrace it and grow.

The Spirit: The Road Back to God (Step 3)

Congratulations, you have made it to the final stage of the MBS-Strategy, this is something to be celebrated. Words carry the power to stir our hearts and change us if we allow them to, and throughout this journey with us you have been confronted with many words. Some were used to paint a picture for your imagination, others were used to empower you with knowledge.

In the Holy Bible we read that faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word of God. The Holy Bible also states that faith is the HOPE we have in an unknown reality and that without faith it is impossible to please God the Father.

The final stage of the MBS-Strategy will be both a warning and a blessing. God says that a harsh word from a friend is better than a kiss that has been concealed and that by an open rebuke a wise man is made even wiser. (Proverbs 27:5)

This is what the LORD says, “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: ‘Where is the good way?’ Then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Jeremiah 6:16

Take this with an open heart and humble yourself before the throne of God and you will see love and life through His eyes.

Do you believe everything you’ve been hearing, reading, or thinking? I have some news for you, not everything they say is true or good for you.

It’s ignorance (not knowing) that blinds us from the truth. Just think about it. You don’t know what you don’t know. How would you know?

If your parents never taught you (disciplined you) how to be a civilized citizen in society, then you would be like an animal taking more than you ought to. If we are unable to discern between the truth and a lie, even a half-truth, or a white lie, then we will be fooled into making decisions that do more harm than good in our families.

Living with a lack mentality will cause us to reach for more than we ought to, which will create more responsibilities in our daily lives than we have time for. Living with this lack mentality drives anxiety and other health problems that can/will lead to destruction. Hundreds and thousands of God’s people worldwide are dying as a result of this.

As it is written, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.” – Hosea 4:6

The worlds economic leaders need consumers. Fans who will fork over their hard-earned cash to keep the wheels of the machine turning.

These corporations know exactly how to get your attention and how to keep it. They know what you want, what you need, and what you like to hear. They know you better than you do.

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest corporations in the world and it’s simple, sick people need medicine. But why are people starting to raise questions about the ethical practice of business and medicine in the healthcare industry? Why are we seeing our children diagnosed with diseases like cancer, obesity, and depression at the age of 9?

Even with the advances in health technology, we are still without a good solution to problems like HIV and Obesity. The pills and potions we use act as band-aids for the psychological and physiological side effects set in motion by the Industrial Revolution, forcing many of us to work like slaves in a system designed to drive the fear of lack, loss, and death into society.

The pills and potions they are providing as a cure for the fear cause “other side effects”, and these require more pills and potions to treat.

It’s a crazy downward spiral into something we call health care. But do they really care for us? Do they really want a cure for the suffering?

The answer is no. No, they don’t want a cure. They want power and they will stop at nothing to control money, your emotions, your health, and your free will. If you don’t take this stage of training to heart you will conform to the norm.

God wants to set His people free from slavery, that includes you, and it includes me. In unity. The body cannot function if it’s been divided.

You can choose this world and stay in the rat race like the rest. Or you can take a leap of faith into the unknown and choose God’s way.

Choose Freedom and Health

Once you know God intimately you will be set free from the lack mentality and it’s imperative that you get an understanding of the final stage of this journey if you truly want to break free.

The spiritual realm is governed by spiritual laws, much like gravity, and if you defy them, they will break you. Trust me, you don’t want to see that.

We can influence the spiritual realm through our thoughts and actions, and our choices will have a rippling effect on the world around us.

God gave us this gift of free will to choose (love), and it’s our choice what we do with this power.

With great power comes great responsibility.”

Spider-man, Uncle Ben

Many of us, through ignorance, choose selfishly as we reach for more with a lack mentality. This desire to have more makes us grab more responsibilities than what we signed up for.

This can make us go into a state of panic, we can get frustrated, angry, and even depressed. Ultimately, when we live with a wanting heart we will fall down the rabbit hole into the dark.

This is what God says: “See, I set before you life and prosperity, death and destruction.

“For I command you today, love the Lord your God, walk in obedience to him, and keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and you worship them, then I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I, God, have set before you, life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give to your forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” – Deuter. 30:15

God is sitting in front of you like Morpheus in The Matrix. In one hand he has a blue pill, and in the other a red pill. He is giving you a choice, and you can either choose to live with a blueprint of what the world tells you is desired, or you can choose the unknown red pill, where you surrender your old life and follow Him.

The Bible says it is the knowledge of God that brings the power of God down to earth and thereby we are changed into the image and likeness of the Messiah who was sent from heaven to represent God the Father here on earth. Knowing Jesus is the closest thing to knowing God, but God has gone one step further than our minds can even imagine.

If you choose to take the red pill and you perform the physical actions that go hand in hand with these thoughts you will personally learn who God is throughout your life as He is represented in and throughout all of creation. During your walk to the promised land you will personally get to know God more and more if you thirst for Him, seek Him, and pray to Him.

You see the truth is God doesn’t just want you to know Him through stories in the Bible, God wants you to be known by Him in an intimate dance between two lovers who are united as One in trust, love, joy, and purity of heart.

Knowing God the Father goes far beyond the comprehension of the human mind and no book or preacher can love you like He does.

Think about it… How foolish would it be of me to think I can show you who God is through my written words? How can I even fathom the God who is in all things, and through all things, and in who all things hold together? Is it possible?

Knowing God is the Highest Consciousness we can wish to attain in our spiritual journey back to Heaven. When we start to listen to His voice every moment of the day, our lives will start to flourish and grow. Most of us make decisions based on past experiences, and this fear then keeps us from living the life God has planned.

I know the Word of God can be intense, even frightening, but it’s important to know: God is not up there in the sky watching over us with a whip. He loved His own creation enough to give them free will; freedom of choice and speech.

The love of God is perfect and it is definitely not unfair. It is our own foolish choices that cause so much despair. Just think about it.

As it is written, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, for fear has to do with punishment.

All parents should know this about God’s love. You need to give your children the freedom to make their own choices, but you also need to give them boundaries; warn them, teach them, and give them wise advice. They need to learn from their mistakes and then get back up again.

As a good parent, your only job is to lead by example; your child will follow you if they respect you and look up to you for wisdom.

It’s the same with Adam and Eve. God told them the story of the birds and the bees, and then He warned them about the consequences. But you know how kids are. We always want to test how far we can go. How far we can push the limits.

As it is written, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but only of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.‘”

God knew this, and He prepared a good plan. I mean, He is God, His plan involves grace. Jesus Christ came to show us God’s face.

The old cunning serpent asked Eve if God really said that, and then he tempted Eve to become like God by saying, “God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

These deceiving and tempting words made Eve doubt God and she ate of the fruit and then gave to her husband, and he also ate.

Did they really die?

Adam and Eve are made in God’s image and likeness, and God is Spirit, the Breath of Life. Adam and Eve walked in harmonious unity with God in a place called Eden (See Genesis 2:8-11). Hebrew Scholars found that the root word for Eden is “pleasure”, and it comes to no surprise that pleasure is also the root word for Heaven or Paradise. So what exactly happened here?

Adam and Eve were separated from God when they doubted His Word and fell from His grace. The pride of their hearts gave them the desire for power and knowledge, and so they ate and became like God. Their eyes were opened, and they were filled with shame. In that moment, they became an self-aware ego (Humanity).

They died spiritually. They became nothing more than the beasts of the field. Unknown and disconnected from the eternal Christ.

Now in this disconnected state they were no longer living in unity with the all-sufficient God of the Universe who held ALL THINGS together through His grace. They were now exiled from Eden to work the land and fend for themselves.

As it is written, “By the sweat of your brow you will eat bread, until you return to the ground—because out of it were you taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” – Gen. 3:19

Mankind fell from God’s grace and were exiled. This Esoteric Bible story is a mysterious parable about something much deeper that took place in your heart and mine. Humans are rebellious by nature, doubting what we know to be true, acting from a place of pride, ignorance, and choosing to be disobedient to the law.

Adam and Eve are representations of the masculine and feminine qualities of God and together they represent all of humanity and not just two naked people who walked around a forest eating fruits, even the forbidden kind.

You were born into this material world already separated from God. If you are disconnected from His Spirit, you will make decisions based on your own feelings and desires. You will be driven by the lower consciousness to survive.

For this reason, I’m writing to you and the body of Christ: Open your heart and soul. Jesus Christ wants to reconcile you to God.

Every single time you make a decision based on lack, fear, or pride you will cause destruction in your own life and the lives of others and that is not what love is about. That is why Jesus Christ died on a cross to demonstrate His love for us.

As it is written, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains.”

What is the will of God? Well, in short, the will of God is that you and every other human being be reconciled with Jesus Christ through His gift, the Holy Spirit, but there is much more to this than a single event. That is partly why I have broken down the content into steps; because it’s all interconnected. He is in all things.

As it is written, “Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever…” – Genesis 3:22

How do we fix the problem? The answer is quite simple. But the process/cure will not be. Jesus Christ is the tree of life we must reach for.

Jesus said, “Follow me. Those who have seen me have seen the Father who has sent Me.”

The funny thing about modern-day Christianity is that people are still trying to convince others about who Jesus Christ is, and that is all good, but I think everyone knows the name of Jesus and they either accept Him or reject Him.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

It is only through unity with the Spirit of Christ that we can become just like God and thereby multiply what God started 2000 years ago when He planted His Seed into the earth. The Spirit of God searches all things, even the hidden things of the heart and He is the one who will lead you, clean you, and prepare you for the Bridegroom.

“For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit. But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:12

We follow God by following the One who came to show us the Father, the Holy Spirit of God, the Son, Jesus Christ. He is the Messiah who will lead us through the wilderness back to the promised land if we trust Him as our Shepherd.

But do take note, not every person reading this will be ready to receive as their ground is not ready to receive the Seed. Sometimes you first need to go through darkness to experience the goodness of God and see the Light, and then you will understand what it means to be blind.

As it is written, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.” – John 6:44

There is much more to this ancient journey than what meets the eye. Therefore I have dedicated my time in this season to create a tool He can use to draw people back to Him.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, heaven opened, and the Spirit of God came upon Him as a dove. Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

If you want to know God as your Shepherd, Provider, Protector, and Healer, then you need to take the first step towards Him, and He will take 99 steps to be with you. He desires you.

It’s time to leave your old life behind you as you walk into the water. It’s time to be set free from the slavery that is found in Egypt, this economic system that is build on lies and empty promises.

It’s time to take the red pill as you allow the Word of God to open your eyes, ignite your faith, and refine your heart; One with God.

The Body: Good Fats

Firstly, before we move into the purpose of fat, I would like to say this, you have fat, and you are not fat. Your words are powerful and you have been given the free will to create your own reality by the words you speak.

All of us want to lose body fat and look great, but nobody ever considers why they gained fat in the first place. Nobody ever considers the emotional, psychological, and sociological triggers of their unhealthy weight gain.

In most cases, people are so focused on losing weight that they neglect dealing with those deep-rooted causes of their weight gain.

All of us do what we do for different reasons, but at the core of it, we find family. Once you start to question yourself about why you want to lose weight, and why you want to feel great, then you can come to see what drives you.

If your reason for improving your health is not based on something solid you will give up or fall back into the comfort zone. Change will require discipline, strength, and sheer will to keep going despite the setbacks that will come to test you.

Throughout this platform, I’ve shared a message of hope, strength, and sacrificial love for others. Through God’s wisdom I can provide you with the tools you need to make a positive change towards your health and the health of your family. You hold the key to transformation.

Jesus asked the lame man what he wanted most for a good reason. It’s time to get up and walk. You need to have a desire for a healthy change.

In the previous post we touched on the nature of the world and our human desire to seek out the milk and honey in life. Today I want to help you understand the energy density of fat.

God says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They have rejected the law.” – Hosea 4:6

Today I would like to go over the types of fatty acids and the benefits of each so you can have a deeper understand how to manage your health.

Fatty acids form a vital part of our anatomy. These cells are used to store calories, toxins, and produce hunger-regulating hormones. Body fat protects vital organs from impact.

When we balance our intake of healthy fats, we look vibrant, feel good, and perform at our best. However, not all fats are good for us, and while some reduce inflammation, others are highly inflammatory. Some fats lower cholesterol, while others increase “Bad” LDL cholesterol.

Some just make us look obese and unhappy.

This “Man-Made” concoction is possibly one of the worst thing you can do for your health. Hydrogenated fats, also called trans fats, are found in processed goods and deep-fried food. They clog arteries, causing high blood pressure, and increasing the risk for heart disease (CVD).

Omega 3 is a brain-boosting fatty acid found in fresh fish like Salmon. Omega 3 is shown to reduce inflammation in the body and improve your quality of sleep. It is also prescribed in high doses for individuals who live with depression.

It has been shown that active individuals who consume animal fats improve life expectancy. Cholesterol is used by the body to produce testosterone, the anabolic sex hormone responsible for libido, mood, muscle development, and fat-burning.

Plant fats improve our heart health by reducing cholesterol, but large doses have been shown to lower testosterone. Due to the calorie density of plant fats, we can easily overconsume them if we don’t keep an eye on our portion size.

Limit these fats to a thumb-sized serving. Use oils and nuts for salad dressings, for cooking, and to add some texture to food.

In the Bible God tells Moses, “All the fat is the Lord’s. Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of the goat.Leviticus 3:16

God always has a good and pleasing reason for everything He does and while He does not eat meat or drink the blood of animals, God does have a good purpose for everything He says. Trusting Him is what worship is all about.

If we logically think about it, then we see why the removal of excess fat, the visible fat, is a good thing. Fat is high in calories (9 cal/gram) and we get more than enough fat from the intramuscular fats in meat. Removing the fat from your meat (chicken skins included) will have a big impact on your caloric intake.

But what about the other fats I’ve mentioned? Omega 3, trans, and plants? Well, what do you think you should be doing? Most of the time we already know what we ought to be doing, we just need to do it. Eating less packaged baked goods will reduce your calorie intake and help you lose the belly fat. It’s as simple as that.

Omega 3 is a great supplement you can add to your fridge if you don’t eat fatty fish at least twice a week. It has a plethora of health benefits, and a good dose is 5g per day.

One last thing, I’ve been asked about my opinion on pork. The Word of God says:

“The pig, though it has a split hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat.”Leviticus 11

I know God has a purpose with what He says, and so I did some of my own research to find out. Did you know pork contains 3 times more intramuscular fat than other meats like poultry?

The digestive system of a pig also works slightly different to that of a cow. Food passes through their digestive track much faster. What’s more, pigs will eat anything, including their own feces.

Fat cells are used to store toxins and if the habitat where the pigs are kept is not hygienic, the chance of food contamination is high.

It looks as though pigs were designed as the cleaners of the earth, and not so much for consumption. So, with this knowledge, the choice is yours. Will you die from the bacon? Probably not, but too much can be harmful.

My Building/Bulking Diet:

Breakfast: 4x Eggs on 2 Slices of Low GI Toast + Baby Spinach + Hot Sauce, 4x Coffee/Herbal Tea

Lunch: Leftovers or Big Grilled Chicken Salad with Avocado + Feta, Redbull Light gives wings

Dinner: Lean Meat with Baked/Mashed Potato + Vegetables/Salad, Red Wine, Family Vibes

Snacks: Variety of Fruits, Ostrich Biltong, Spring Water, Frozen Yogurt, Dark Chocolate, and Soup

Don’t snack on nuts: Use them to add texture to salads. Oils are used to anoint and cook food.

Supplements: Omega 3 Oil, Vitamin D, Protein Powder, Creatine HCL, Gentle Iron, and CBD Oil

The purpose of this nutrition plan is to give you an example of what a balanced diet looks like with the addition of supplements that aid with the stressors of modern-day life. Eat the cake.

In short, don’t throw away the egg yolk, don’t avoid full cream milk, and don’t be afraid to eat meat. Remove all visible fat, and eat until your satisfied and 80% full.

Stay away from deep-fried, oily foods. Fat is a great source of energy, but if we’re not moving as much, then we really don’t need as much.

Start the day with a solid breakfast, and then limit fats at night when you’re not as active. Ketogenic diets work, but diets are not the solution for a depressed, overworked man or woman who has lost faith in themselves.

That’s why I’ve invested 4 years of my life to build every aspect of Bodybuilding for Christ. Go ahead and sign up to one of our coaching programs and see what it’s all about. Christ.

Click >>Here<< for Online Strength Coaching. It’s free, but your commitment won’t be...

The next step will challenge you to see God the way He presents Himself to us through the Bible and the purpose is to empower you through the Spirit of God. You will be baptized into Christ, united with the Father, and ignited by the Spirit.

The ancient pathway is a spiritual pilgrimage each child of God must undergo as they walk through a season of refinement to transform from worms (consumers) to magnificent butterflies (producers). Trust the process.

He is the Potter and you are the clay.

The Body: Carbs, the Rocket Fuel

What do you believe about carbs? Have you become fearful of carbs? Or do you believe pasta will make you run fasta? Many people have subconsciously demonized carbs while others are unable give up the sweet stuff.

Today I’m going to put your mind at ease. Carbs are broken down into simple sugars and used as fuel by the brain and muscles.

These sugars (glucose, fructose, and galactose) are absorbed into the bloodstream, which then triggers the release of the anabolic hormone insulin. This signals the body to use carbs for the production of energy. Insulin turns off the use of adipose tissue (fat) for energy.

If this insulin response is triggered too often, the receptors get desensitized and resistant to the hormone signal. This leads to a reveresable medical condition known as insulin resistance, which is a precursor for type 2 diabetes.

But we don’t have to live in fear of carbs if we use our bodies the way they were designed to be used by actively working, moving, and lifting heavy loads. Our bodies were never designed to sit for 8 hours straight, and then sit some more at home because we are emotionally drained.

This is the purpose of Bodybuilding for Christ – To help you move with purpose and strength.

Today I would like to enlighten you about the best carb choices to improve your health and show you how you can enjoy a doughnut or ice cream without binge eating or feelings of guilt.

It’s important to know in what way food choices affect our hormones and energy. Knowing gives us the power to act wisely.

For just a moment, visualize the energy you carry as waves flowing through your veins. When there is balance you feel at peace.

Now throw 3 tsp of sugar into your coffee. The sugar + caffeine is like a nuclear bomb going off in your body. This is problematic.

Your body will always regulate your energy by circulating sugar through the bloodstream to the brain. Insulin is used to transfer any excess sugar out of the bloodstream into muscle cells, the liver, and fat cells. This can lead to a crash.

Sugar overfeeding can shock the body more than we might be aware of. It’s like a drug that triggers a host of events in the body including inflammation around joints. But the biggest effects of sugar can be seen on the mind.

The brain is the primary user of glucose in the body. Muscles also use glucose to perform, but not to the extent of the brain. Your brain burns up to 10 times more calories per lb of tissue than muscle cells do. That is quite an amazing fact. Your brain is a metabolic powerhouse.

We naturally love the sweet stuff. Chocolate has been shown to improve cognitive function and mood. Just washing your mouth with a sports drink has been shown to improve performance. Sugar gives us a mental high and that can be a good or bad thing, it all depends on the context.

So let’s be smart about it.

Carbs are stored in the form of glycogen in the liver and muscle cells. However, if you eat more sugar than you ought to, and if your liver and muscle glycogen stores are full, your body will change those carbs into fatty acids through a process called de novo lipogenesis and deposit them on your hips, thighs, and midsection.

Regular exercise will increase the need for muscle glycogen, and this will improve insulin sensitivity, even if we indulge a little every day. Thus, we can conclude that carbs aren’t the enemy. The real enemy is the comfort of our lazyboy lifestyles where we no longer move our bodies daily as we do hard labor for the harvest.

As it is written, “By the sweat of your brow you will eat bread, until you return to the ground—For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” – Genesis 3:19

The world has changed alot over the years, but one thing still remains the same, our desire for the sweet things of life. We indulge in them all the time, and without even knowing it.

Every processed product, every grocery store aisle, and every office meeting has sugar in it. The human body is naturally inclined to seek out the mik and honey of life, and the world leaders know this well. Even the enzymes in your saliva is designed to break down carbs. Talk about being impatient for your sugar fix.

If you’ve ever tried to cut sugar from your diet you would know the futility in your attempt to. Carbs surround us in all 7 colors of the rainbow, and it is our responsibility to master our ability to say NO, and then stick to it. Only the most extreme measures will do and no must be no; all packaged goods must go. Just eat clean bro.

Is this realistic though? We are all a little weak at times, and then usually we give into temptation. If falling prey to the temptation leads to feelings of guilt, rejection, and punishment, then it will also lead to depression. Feeling like a failure is not a very positive mindset to be in if you want to change the outcome of your life. Therefore my approach to coaching involves grace and longsuffering as I know change takes time.

Nothing is inherently good or bad. Think of it like this. It’s not what you do, but how you do it that counts. If you sit on your ass all-day behind a screen and then you want to do a 1-hour HIIT workout after work. Do you really think you will need 400g of carbs each day? It’s about context.

If you are reading this with a desire to improve your health and feel high on life, then you will

A) Need to start moving your bum more often, and add strength training before/after work.

B) Learn the difference between complex carbs and simple carbs. Complex = Nature.

Complex Carbohydrates are the only source of fiber we get from our diets and low fiber scores have been linked to an increased risk of colon cancer and hemorrhoids. Fiber absorbs water inside the intestines and this helps you create the bulk of your poop. If you are constipated there might very well be a lack in your diet.

We need to create a healthy balanced internal environment that will not only help us lose weight and feel great, but also perform at our best. Smart or good carbohydrate choices will make you feel satisfied, fueled, and energized.

High GI foods (Simple Carbs) will have the opposite effect on the body, mind, and Spirit. We can manipulate the GI of certain foods by adding them to a plate with protein and fats.

Having a balanced meal with a mix of macros will slow down the absorption of simple sugars and this will help stabilize your blood sugar.

Fruits can also keep your sugar levels stable. As the cliché statement goes, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” That sounds like a lie. Bodybuilding for Christ will keep them away.

The best way to make this work is to introduce balance into everything you are planning to do. Make sure you do strength training every day. Double check to see if you are walking enough. Eat a balanced plate of natures best produce.

It’s not rocket science. It’s logical. Think about the context of your current lifestyle and then discern whether or not you have healthy habits. The composition of your body will reveal the truth. So take a long deep look into the mirror and ask yourself, “Am I being brutally honest?”

We are all responsible and INTEGRITY is to do the right thing, even if it’s the hardest thing to do. Think: What would a king and queen do?

If you must have something sweet in the morning: Choose fruit, a protein shake, and Omega 3 fish oil. Please just not a piece of cake, cupcake, or muffin… Even if it’s a bran muffin.

Snack on fresh fruits: Apples, pears, peaches, and berries are higher in fiber and provide a good dose of vitamins and slow-digesting carbs. Opt for a big ass grilled chicken salad if you can.

Eat carbs at night: This is the best thing you can do to refuel, relax, and sleep like a baby. Eating carbs at night will not make you fat if your energy is under control. Remember that.

One serving of carbs is the size of your fist. Ladies eat one serving, two if you are active.

All of us know what’s good for us. Hell, we even know when we are full. The biggest hurdle we face is temptation, and in this world temptation will never go away, we just become stronger.

The amazing thing about your brain is its ability to adapt and learn as you create new neural pathways through repetition. This habit-forming characteristic is what we see when we practice.

When we repeat actions that spike feel-good hormones multiple times throughout the day, the brain will want to get those kicks every day. This creates a sense of dependency as it makes you think of the activity that gave you the high.

If I think back to my younger days as a skater boy I can vividly remember how addicted I was to the high I experienced every time I landed a technical trick. This is why exercise can become a healthy addiction that will ultimately replace your unhealthy habits like just sitting around.

So if you are still on your ass, just get up and find something that will inspire you to train. Bodybuilding has become that for thousands of people around the world. Do it for Christ.

Join our 7-day trial program and see why.

If you love doughnuts and chocolate as I do, then I have some really good news for you. You really don’t have to go cold turkey.

God does not expect you to perform for His love, but He does desire for you to be healthy and in control. Therefore, if you are struggling with a binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia nervosa, or obesity, please reach out to me.

I can’t promise to fix you, but I can pray for you, provide you with support, and guide you step by step as you transform your body and mind.

Nothing is inherently bad, but in light of the effect something has on your health we can discern whether your actions are blessing you with life or cursing you with disease.

Carbs aren’t the enemy, inactivity is.

Get up and walk.

The choice is yours.

Reflect on my words.
