The Human Body

Congratulations! You have made it to step 2 of the MBS-Strategy. May this bless you with the know-how to transform your own physique. The second step of the MBS-Strategy will be aimed at teaching you everything you need to know to create a healthy strong body through physical movement and good nutrition.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, who you have received from God? You are not your own.” – 1_Corinthians 6:19

For just a moment, think of your physical body as a brand-new sports car. If you don’t take care of it, the cost of maintaining the car will be way more than you ever expected. However, if you put only the best into your tank, you can put your foot on the gas and experience true joy.

As it is written in the age old book of clichés, “What you put in is what you get out.” V1.1

The complexity of who we are is in of itself a miracle and the workmanship and creativity that’s gone into every detail challenges Darwin’s Theory of evolution. The Scriptures say that we are made to represent the Light, Jesus Christ.

As it is written, “God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” – Gen1v27

Whether or not humanity came into existence through evolution, faith-based creationism, or the big bang theory. The important thing is to know that we have been blessed with talents and abilities that we can use to bless others.

As it is written, “God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it; rule over all of the earth.”

To conquer our human nature and become co-creators with God, we must first see ourselves through His eyes. We are way more than slaves. We are more than the world tells us and we are more than our physical bodies. We are infinite spiritual beings made in His image to multiply.

As it is written, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot to be hidden.Matthew 5:14

It’s only when we start to see the body as a sacred vessel of His divine nature that we can care for ourselves the way we ought to. In the next few weeks you will learn how to survive and thrive as a living organism on this earth.

While we have our being in this physical world, we are bound to laws like thermodynamics and gravity. If we understand how they work, we can better care for our bodies, the way we aught to.

On this journey you will face resistance and this will force you to think about your own decisions and how they line up with your desires. You are the Captain of your ship?

Our primary goal at Bodybuilding for Christ is to teach everything we know, but the desire to ask, seek, knock and find must burn in your heart.

As it is written, “You can take a horse to the water, but you cannot make him drink.”Somewhere in the Bible

Pay close attention to this moment in time. Today you are learning everything you need to know for tomorrow, so don’t try and learn the lessons of tomorrow today. Focus on now.

Trying to change from a worm (consumer) to a butterfly (producer) without going through the metamorphosis of your own soul will be nothing more than wishful thinking. It’s only when we have a deep-rooted desire for this One thing that we will go in search thereof.

Many of us have been accepting only what the world has to offer. Driven by the human desire for satisfaction with a fear of missing out we try to avoid the loss of life. And perhaps like many, you have been conditioned to think, say, and do things that are not good for you or your family.

We NEED fresh air, water, food, strength, safety, touch, sex, sleep, and personal space (habitat), for our health to flourish. In the next few weeks, We will cover these topics with you through Bodybuilding for Christ and the MBS-Strategy.

Make it your mission to internalize all the information, visualize it, try to understand it, and meditate on it. Focus on every step you take and learn to crawl before you walk, walk before you run, and run before you can soar.

When you think of the word ‘personal space’, what comes to mind? Is it the personal space you subconsciously surround yourself with? Perhaps ‘personal space’ is the uncomfortable conversation you’re about to have with your partner about your need for “some” room?

To each person, personal space will have a slightly different meaning, but at the core of it we find a place where we as individuals can experience the joy that true freedom brings. This space is a place where we can escape the material world and the things that seemingly enslave us, even if only for a moment in time.

From God’s perspective personal space is the habitat you find yourself in. Is the environment hostile? Are there enough resources to live in peace with others? How about your workplace?

Your habitat affects your emotions, which trigger your hormones, and this affects the internal environment of your physical body.

Personal space should be the place where we can experience life and the world as children do. Without any fear for tomorrow, knowing God will be there to provide for our needs.

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 18:3

Whether you are in love with skateboarding, dancing, or fast cars, personal space should be the place where time seemingly stands still.

It’s a space where we can authentically express and celebrate ourselves and become filled with so much joy that we forget about things we cannot control. Things other people say/do.

Personal space encompasses every basic need we have as humans. Think of it as your natural habitat, the place where you can truly flourish. Personal space is the reality you have chosen, even if you could not consciously choose it.

We are all raised in a broken world, and all of us have been affected by the Original Sin, the temptation of the serpent, and the pride of life, and therefore all of us come from a broken society and this ‘space’ shapes us.

Some of us become angered and inflamed, while others leave the conformity of reality to find their own way. What choice will you make?

Your health for example, if you don’t choose to create an inflammation free environment, your car won’t perform the way it was designed to.

Just think about it. If you don’t consciously create the space (habitat) you need, then how do you expect to live like you are born free?

If you don’t create your own favorable habitat, then you will be neglecting your health, and you will live in an ever-present state of unrest. Some of us are quiet souls who love to write, read, or do art, while others cannot stand the silence.

Whoever you are, and whatever your needs, you need to create a positive space for your health to really flourish. Only you can do it.

Bodybuilding has become an artform for me and a space where I can go to release energy while I have some fun. Your training sessions, your dancing routines, and your paintings are all moments in time where you can live again.

Carine Kruger is a mother of two wonderful boys and a gifted French portrait artist who said spending money on a Personal Trainer was the best way she could spoil herself. Brian Butchart, CEO of Brenthurst Wealth Management, said that when he started working out with me, he planned the gym sessions around his day, but after 3 months he found himself prioritizing the gym and his physical body over the daily grind.

Both of these professional adults made the decision to spend their resources on their physical health because they wanted to feel good about themselves. All men want to feel respected by their wives and ladies need to feel desired. We are emotional beings made in the image of God with a natural desire for comfort, pleasure, security, and unconditional love.

Sacrificing your resources to improve your health is the best thing you can do if you are living inside this modern day Babylonian world.

“Historicized by the Bible as a centre of decadence and corruption, Babylon and its surrounding region was in fact a rich and complex civilization, responsible for the invention of the dictionary and laying the foundations of modern science.”

As it is written, “Do not be conformed to the world, but let God transform you by renewing your mind that you may know God’s will.” – Romans 12:2

Jesus Christ came to earth to lay down His life to demonstrate what love really looks like. It’s not the butterflies you get. Nor the boner in your pants. Love is to suffer for the ones you love. What or who are you willing to suffer for?

Whatever you need to do to create a positive ‘personal space’ for yourself and your family. Just do it with all your heart and all your might, and don’t give up until you have conquered the mountain you are facing right now. Embrace it.

Three years from now you will be in a different space with new faith in your own abilities, in the UNKNOWN, and in the endless possibilities that are available to you and me as co-creators on this green planet called earth. God loves you.

By understanding the infinite power personal space holds, you can create a favorable habitat (environment) for your creativity, focus, and love to grow and flourish. Not only in your family but also in your social community.

Trust the process and take the next step.
