God’s Voice: Being lead by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

Welcome to Bodybuilding for Christ, this mental health organization was established 4 years ago to provide the body of Christ (You and I) with an educational tool we can use to strengthen the body, mind, and Spirit through the living Word of God (Logos + Sophia) and strength training.

In today’s post I, Coach Jan, will be sharing another sneak peek into the 3-Day Fat Furnace eBook I recently wrote to shed some light on the simplicity and complexity of nutrition and the word of God.

As it is written, “Man shall not live from bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4

Trying something new is hard, and at times even painful. It’s like learning to ride a bike. At first, you might feel like a failure because you keep falling. But it’s only by falling that you can get back up, learn a valuable lesson, and try again. This learning curve applies to all things in life, especially to life with Jesus Christ.

The Father and the Son

Every morning when you wake up you have a new opportunity to ride the bike with God the Father running after you, whispering in your ear, “Go left, go right, watch out for that…” This is how we learn and mature. This is why there’s grace for our mistakes.

I believe with all the noise around us in this digital world we’ve lost our ability to hear God’s voice guiding us. Many of us have become desensitized to that intuitive voice of Wisdom that’s always there to lead us back home.

You know that little voice telling you that “eating another cookie is probably a bad idea”. That’s the voice of the Holy Spirit watching over you.

How many of us actually obey His voice? Then we wonder why things are the way they are. It’s quite simple. We don’t do what we know is good for us. We choose to disobey what God says because we want to feel good. We choose to reach for the pleasures of life, it is the fruit of our own demise.

I believe many of us have become enslaved by the pleasures of life. Controlled by our natural desire for food, sex, power, and security. These desires can destroy our lives if we lose control of our free will to choose what God would suggest we do. He gave us the option to choose life and not settle for the lies we’ve been fed by this world.

The truth is many people are weak Spiritually. They have chosen the life of comfort and pleasure because that’s the promise they have been given. This life of comfort often leads to disappointment when we realize it was based on desires that fade away over time. What you wanted at 20 will not be what your heart desires at the age of 40.

What I’ve learned from life is that I would rather experience pain and discomfort early on than to self-destruct later. I have observed that those who have the Spirit of Christ within them, when they are placed under immense pressure, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and the power of God is released within them.

Jesus said that those who are forgiven for much will love much. This is the duality of life or the law of opposites as Isaac Newton’s 3rd law states. The further you are pulled into darkness, the further God’s grace will pull you into the arms of Jesus Christ, who will light the darkness for you, changing your mind and heart from within.

As it is written, “Once I was blind, but now I see.”

The Bible

When we are tested in the furnace of life we are being prepared by God to fight against the unseen forces of darkness and every day we have a new opportunity to create order through our words and actions. Love is a sacrifice we have to willfully make if we want to Refine & Define our characters as gold.

There will always be consequences for every action we choose to take and we cannot blame God or our genes (parents) for our mistakes. We can’t even blame satan for the world’s state, that was our very first mistake. God gave us the authority to trample on snakes, and He has blessed us just as He has blessed Moses.

The reason there is so much power in the Name of Jesus is because of the effect His essence and Spirit has on those who truly come to know Him intimately. This is the reason Christians are persecuted and willingly die for their faith. Coming to know God’s forgiving heart is what draws men from the darkness into His glorious light.

I’ve always said that I believe you first need to make some pretty bad decisions before you can truly come to know Jesus Christ with tears in your eyes and blood on your hands. Have you sold Him for a few coins and a good time? Because if you have, then you can find peace knowing He forgives you.

During the 3-Day Fat Furnace you will learn to sensitize your body, mind, and Spirit in an attempt to listen intuitively to the wisdom of God and learn from the feedback you receive. He says in His Word (Logos) that when His children call on Him, He is quick to answer them saying, “Here I am” as a good Father would.

You’re an intuitive being who can sense unseen frequencies. It’s one of the spiritual gifts called discernment we have all received. You know what’s good for you and what’s not. Choose to go with what you know is good for you. If you don’t, then you are a fool by choice. You see the danger coming but YOU choose to not turn a blind eye.

The truth is there is an ongoing battle that will never cease and the only way we can overcome the resistance is to become so strong mentally, physically, and spiritually that we break the inertia and transcend our animal nature. This is the only way we can change our lives. We have to become stronger, not just for 1 week, or for 1 year, but for life. We have to become stronger for life if we want to see the glory of God revealed within each of us.

The Choice is Yours

Did you know your mind is the most powerful tool you own? It has the power to process unseen frequencies at lightning speed; it can calculate, store, and create new pathways and solutions that never existed before.

Through a host of sensory input organs we can interpret real-time data like supercomputers. Your mind sends messages throughout the body via the central nervous system (CNS) which triggers a response. Whether it’s pleasure or pain, you feel something.

Our bodies are designed to work synergistically with the environment. When your emotions are triggered by the world it affects the autonomic nervous system, which then affects the entire system. Mental and physical health, it’s all interconnected. We are emotional beings. We have feelings and they trigger us to do and say things. Tears when we feel sad, high blood pressure when we get mad, and adrenaline when we are under attack.

Did you know there is an entire field of study dedicated to the science of human behavior?

Why we do what we do is quite fascinating to be honest. At the core of it all, it comes down to the same essential human needs like family, security, provision, procreation, purpose, and love.

All of us are consumers and producers, and if we don’t live with self-control, one of the 9 character traits of the Holy Spirit, we will be unbalanced and end up living in debt. Debt that will keep us captive in the world.

The world will try to get consumers to bite into what they have to sell. They will use images, words, and sound to create an emotional desire in our subconscious minds and before we know it, we’re ready to buy again.

Thus, if we do not practice self-control, we will end up compulsively buying, eating, drinking, and taking in much more than we are giving. This can lead to weight gain, depression, and compulsive behaviors.

The world is a consumer, but not the material kind, it’s desire is for your mind. If they can control what you think, they can control what you feel, they can even begin to tell you what’s real.

Your heart and soul are prized above all the gold in this sales-driven world, and it’s only when you acknowledge your own worth that you can truly begin to live. This process of self-discovery is never easy if you have nothing to go by, and that’s why I’ve put in the work to give you a glimpse through my eyes.

This is an important message to consider, and not to be underestimated. This message of self-control will fill the holes in your own heart and soul. This message will empower you with the strength to say NO.

We all do what we do for different reasons, but at the core of it we see family.

We are complicated creatures made by Love, for Love, to be Loved. It’s a mutual desire we all share and this desire to feel loved and have a loving family is so important to understand if we want to be healthy.

Family is one of the strongest factors to success in any circumstance. The entire Bible is based on the foundation of the family in unity. We are designed to represent God here on earth, and without each other, we will be alone. The sad truth is many families are broken and that’s why God commands us to turn back our hearts and forgive.

Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty. “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel. “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.” – Malachi 4

We all want to be loved, and we all want to love. But it’s only when we start to fight for a greater cause than just ourselves that we can get the internal fire needed to see us through until the end. Love is not a feeling. Love is a loving sacrifice we make. It’s about giving more than we have to give, while trusting God to give us more capacity to give, and if we have to lay down our lives for the ones we love, we will see God.

The 3-Day Fat Furnace will open your eyes to the beautiful message we find in the act of a loving sacrifice. Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us, and we can be thankful we don’t have to experience anything like that, but we will still face persecutions and tribulations in this life, of that you can be sure.

As it is written, “Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities of darkness.” – Ephesians 6

That is why we need to keep going forward even when the going gets tough. And a loving family seems to be the best motivation in the world. Choose to be open-minded about the power of your own words. You are a child of God, and the Word of God dwells richly within you. Use your words wisely and speak life if you wish to live this life with a joyful heart. You can build others up, you can bring healing, and you have the power of God in your heart.

And with that I would like to end off this post about Jesus and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit with an invitation to download the full version of the eBook and learn how you can be set free.

Oh, and 1 more thing. If you want to lose some weight, build muscle, and win an oil massage for 2, then please feel free to sign up for the next 21-Day Fat Furnace Challenge hosted by Coach Sam.

Your body is the temple of God’s Holy Spirit, keep it sacred and holy.

As it is written, “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. – Romans 12:1
